The last thing we need--whatever your position on the steroids controversy(and I think it's been overblown)--is a controversial, long, and utterly joyless assualt on Aaron's record by Mr Warmth...keeping the Juice Era in everyone's consciousness...and finishing up with a record that, rightly or wrongly, will forever have a mental asterisk in most people's heads... Bonds is an arrogant prick, so he'll do what he wants. Apparently he's feeling better lately--he's certainly hitting well since the All-Star break, and he's still one of the five best offensive players in baseball...so he'll probably play...:-(...
