Crap, one of my best friends has to go in for an angiogram
tomorrow, with the great possibility of an angioplasty and stent.

He had some tests last week, went in for the results today, they are admitting him tomorrow morning. Not a good sign when they want to admit you right away methinks.

He's the same age as me too, 39. Sucks. :(

2. Maybe not a good sign,
but a common precaution. I wish your friend well.

3. I'm sorry Fuzz...

He'll be in my thoughts. But the optimist in me says,"Thank goodness they found it before the heart attack."

6. Oh no, that is awful.
On the optimistic side, at least he's getting the attention and treatment he needs. May he be on the road to better health

here's a hug

7. I hope everything goes well.....really...and please...
don't worry about the hospital stay. It's pretty routine for heart patients, from what I've experienced in my own family.

Hugs for you and your dear friend... :grouphug:

9. sometimes you gotta kick your own thread
or respond back to those who post in it.

I think it is a better sign to catch it early than not to.

11. It may not be a big deal at all, so don't worry too much.
I've been through it, although they found no blockage so I need no stents.

And if angioplasty and a stent is required, they will probably do it immediately... it's a very common procedure. And the only real downside to having a stent is that it is crucial for the patient to take the medications reguired afterward every day, no exceptions at all.

These days, any heart irregularity and they will test, test, test until they get the answers they need for treatment.

Anyway, best of luck to you and your friend.
