I'm making a CD

I'm making a CD

Titled: In the event of my death.

I'm feeling healthy and nearly robust. I'm going to be on this
planet for a very long time.
But just in case,

A CD to be with my important papers.
It will include my will, important pictures, memories, a list of my accomplishment and
a collection of music I'd like to have played at any rememberance that may occur.
I'm going to include a list of friends I've made here on DU,
in the same list as my family.

Mine would be a series of apologies expressed in a dark room by a robed figure wearing a mask. Underneath the mask, I'd be smiling.

it occurred to me that I should leave a connection.

Putting your life's documents and thoughts in order can be liberating. I'd like to know what your musical selections would be, if you don't mind me asking.

9. Ptah...i love you more than beans & rice, but i have a little story...

for you (and i do hear what you are saying as well suggesting here the utility of a living will); still it was the case that hubby in one of his morose moods, made a similar tape that he sent to his eldest daughter; instructions for cremation, scene direction & setting of the memorial, and explicit direction for the musical sequence that was to be played yet only heard by they who would prepare his remains in their chambers prior to said cremation as would be the case with Egyptian technicians and the like, and he sent it off...

...never heard back from his most precious & wise daughter...

but some years later, and after never bringing it up himself, he was at her house and was looking for 'a' tape to tape along and listen to (it was a cassette so that should place a date), and found 'thee' tape, in her bottom drawer, in the back, and he recognized the tape he'd sent her, so he popped it in just to recall...

she had taped over it with teletubbie & 'b-i-n-g-o and bingo was his name-o' songs that she played for her kids/his g-kids :rofl:

having received her critique of his plans with a smile, and from within clearly better times, he then mentioned to me afterward, "I always knew that she would be a saint someday."
