Who else's "Christmas" is already over?
By "Christmas", of course, I mean "the big gift exchange". :D

My brother and sister who live in town are both going to be out of town on Christmas Eve/Day, so we did our gift exchange Sunday night. Got some good loot - X2 on DVD, a brand spankin' new Cubs cap, among other things.

Never fear - I'll be spending Christmas Eve & Day with an old ladyfriend, where I hope to be exchanging more than gifts. :silly:

1. The roomie, her BF, and I...
...are doing our gift exchange tonight since I'm going out of town. THen Christmas Day is the big day with the family. After that, on New Years Eve, I'm exchanging gifts with friends of mine that will be in town for the party.

NO, no...I am far from "done". Hell, I gave my first gift out two weeks ago so my date could wear her new jewlery to my company Christmas party.

5. Know whatcha mean
I started mailing out boxes of goodies over a week ago. My nephew has already highjacked one of his intended presents. And I won't get to do xmas with my best friend and her family until this coming weekend when I get back to Austin.

2. I've exchanged gifts once
will do so again tonight with one friend (going to Mom's tomorrow) and then New Year's Eve with another friend.

I have an additional trip planned with toys for a friend's young grandchildren.

Actually I think spreading the gifts out is better. Too much at once is, well, just too much, especially for children and older people. They forget what they got. I've already given my Mother two gifts.

Most of my Christmas is giving to others, my family is not in a good financial situation so I use the occasion to give my Mom things that she needs as well as wants.

3. We won't be doing my family's big gift exchange until Sunday.
We will get together with my in-laws on Christmas eve, but I think that will be a sad evening. Our first holiday since my sister-in-law passed away.
My older brother is getting into town Friday and my younger brother, his wife and my nephew (the cutest baby in the world) will be here Sunday. I have all next week off to spend with family and friends and to regroup after this stressful, emotional year.

4. Because of the Job losses
Edited on Tue Dec-23-03 09:54 AM by StClone
My sister's job as a Supervisor has gone over seas. My brother's cabinet making is gone because of a slow economy and another sister and her husband are struggling through tough times. No gift exchange this year as was the usual.

Christmas Day is anti-clamtic anyway with pre-Thanksgiving start.

7. Yup..
X-Mas is more or less done here.

I am getting wads of cash from my family as I attempt to begin a new life in Seattle, where apparently they just found Mad Cow disease in WA state.. wonderful.

Anyway, as far as my gifts its something like "Hey I am leaving, want anything I have?"
