Man Gives Wife Toilet Seat As Gift - Didn't Go Over Too Well
:D

<snip>

LONGMONT, Colo. -- Gary and Karri Clark haven't forgotten their second Christmas together. He knew she wanted bathroom accessories, so he wrapped up a couple of gifts and waited.

The toilet seat and towel rack didn't go over too well.

"Here I thought I was doing good," he recalled with a laugh. "It was something she can always use, day after day. It's the gift that keeps on giving."

The Clarks were among those who responded to requests by the Daily Times-Call newspaper to share their stories about bungled gifts and best intentions -- the waffle makers, blenders and vacuum cleaners given with love and practicality in mind that will never be forgotten or forgiven.

Karri Clark admits she wanted a new toilet seat a decade ago because there was a crack in the old one. She just didn't think she'd get one gift wrapped.

10. Matcom, let me tell you
at that point - a toilet seat wrapped up as a present to a lady for Xmas?

I don't think it matters whether it is facing up or down. Just trust me on this one.

:D

6. I got a toilet under the tree once.
Some years back when we were really broke we had promised we would not get each other anything, just buy for the kids. Christmas Eve he comes in lugging three big gifts for me and I was pretty irate because I had stuck to our end of the bargain. He kept telling me it was really for the whole family. We were really needing a new computer so I thought he had gotten a bargain from his friend and I thought - three boxes, one for monitor, one for computer, one for keyboard. One box had a little hole in the box and I stuck my finger in and it went chink! so I thought - the monitor. The next morning it turned out to be the toilet in two pieces and the toilet seat. He had actually gotten it free from one of the vendors at work. So I was actually glad to get it (sad about the computer). There is a picture of me sitting on the toilet seat, which is on the couch.

9. I was given a lovingly wrapped
set of jumper cables one year. I didn't realize the thought behind them until they were used. Hubby later said "I wanted to make sure you could get home to me". It's been one of my favorite gifts - ever.
