I haven't slept since. Too terrified. Anyone have a link to the video on that kid? he smokes, he climbs up a guy's tie and bitch slaps him silly and he dances to moves that would put Michael jackson to shame. tell me soneone saw this and I didn't just dream it!

6. There's a huge creep factor there.
The things that creep me out are 1) The huge smile frozen on the little guy's face, and 2) The fact that an adult man is lounging around with a bunch of boys watching a shirtless little person dance.

Scary.

3. In fact, I'm convinced Olberman's staff is getting fluff stories from DU
That same night that The Count Down first showed the dancing Indian kid, he did a big story on Jesus Camp: The Movie. I saw the little dancing robot freak on YouTube last week from a link that someone posted on DU. And of course DU was entirely funded thru the month of September by advertising for Jesus Camp: The Movie. All the threads obsessing about it and mocking its ubiquity here were going on at the same time we were making fun of Calcutta's answer to Boogaloo Shrimp.

It's an odd feeling to see stuff on DU one week and then exactly one week later see it on a TV show.

Of course you expect reporters, like people on Olberman's staff, to go out among the population to find out what's the news in the world. Lurking thru DU and reporting on what we chatter about is just as legit a form of journalism as man-on-the-street interviews or hanging around a police station hoping to get a story.

9. They also nabbed a DUers idea for Worst Person in the World last night....
I forgot the DUer that suggested it but it was the guy running against Duckworth, the Iraqi vet and double amputee. He accused her of cutting and "running" in regard to the war.

11. Olbermann HAS to be lurking here.
Edited on Sat Sep-30-06 02:17 PM by idgiehkt
there is no other explanation. How on earth would he find that Indian video on the same week as Primate linked it.

What if Primate1 really IS Keith Olbermann, and he just paid some dreadlocked street kid to post pics to throw us all off his scent... Whoa, Keith Olbermann turned me on to The Mars Volta. Groovy.

edit:
Ha HAH!

he even confessed last night and no one caught it:

4. I think it's kinda cool.
Can't deny the lil' dude can dance. As far as the smoking, if watch real close you will see he is not a true smoker. Look and see how he quick puffs it the blows it out with no inhale. It's all for show.

23. My first reaction was - and still is - that it is not "real." I'm not
computer literate, but I know stuff can be changed or even made up. I think this video is an example of this.

21. That's exactly what I thought. His head is too big for his body.
And more mature looking than that of a child.

Yep, it's a little person, not a little kid. :)

But it is weird...

I find the setting, audience and stop/start music more strange than the dancer himself...
