Edited on Tue Dec-23-03 01:39 PM by Jack_Dawson
I like Vike, but will admit my exposure overall has been limited.

1. Vicodin is my drug of choice at the moment, thanks to a busted up
knee due to an encounter with a dog's butt.

Just got diagnosed with a REALLY PAINFUL hernia...surgery in a couple of weeks, but until then, the peaceful clouds of Vicodin will keep me going :)

23. What I find interesting
I have a perscription for Xanax but take it only if I have a panic attack or am in a physically safe situation where I start feeling a lot of anxiety (dinner with the in laws for example). The thing that strikes me as odd about it is a more reliable high and more impairing than marijuana for me. My doctor always asks if I need more everytime I go in. I could do this drug habituality legally if I wanted and come to work under its influence with no disiplinary action against me. Marijuana is illegal though and I could be fired if they tested me even though I never come to work high. Xanax is the stronger drug though. There are people that don't want marijuana used as medicine because of the high, but Xanax and other drugs give the user more of a high and they are more addicting. My mother-in-law, for example, is addicted to Xanax. She has cut down from 3 to 1 per day but has taken them for several years.

11. Just finished
taking Vike and Soma for back problems.
Went cold turkey Saturday, now just on OTC stuff.
BTW..My neck disk is worse than the pigboys, and I was only on the stuff for a month. The injections into the disk are wonderful, after a few hours of miserable pain, you start feeling better...still cannot feel my toes

14. It used to be the Action Figure of Antidepressants:
Effexor!

Until my BP spiked and I nearly had a heart attack.

Now it's Xanax. Mother's little helper.

I give my heartiest endorsement to Wellbutrin...a fine, fine antidepressant. Or Terry's little helper. :-)

15. Trobicin made my life easier in Korea
When you're the VD NCO, if someone comes down with a social disease you had to do follow-up. You have to make sure the troop gets to the Troop Medical Clinic (not hard to do when they catch the clap), then make sure they go to the clinic 10 days later for retesting.

When 8th Army used procaine penicillin G on its gonorrhea cases, sometimes you ran into a penicillin-resistant strain and you'd have to go through the whole thing all over again. Or the medic would take a look at the guy's dick, decide he had the clap even though he may have had something different--non-gonorrheal urethritis looks like the clap except that it doesn't hurt--give him two shots of penicillin and ten days later he'd be back in Room Number Two because penicillin doesn't kill NSU.

Trobicin solves all of those problems. It's only for injection, so you don't have to worry about some hooker popping penicillin pills to try to ward off VD and gaining a case of penicillin-resistant clap which she then sells to your guy. It's more potent than penicillin, so it works faster. It's only used for VD, so it won't affect your guy's response to penicillin. And it cures NSU as well as gonorrhea.

I love trobicin. It is such a wonderful drug.

17. Betaseron
It's kept my MS in check for over 8 years. I still have flare ups, but when they calm down, i come back to the same place i was. So, no progression of the disease and that's what it's supposed to do.

So, it's my fave. No question.

18. Valium, for sure
I got the I.V. when my teeth were pulled, and for the longest time afterward I felt the way Woody Allen looked in "Sleeper" after having handled "the orb."

Vicodin and Xanax do nothing for me.
