NoVA/DC Du'ers-Help!
Yes, I know, I'm a lazy procrastinatin' bastid. But I need a good anti-Bush t-shirt as a stocking stuffer for Mom. Were I not a lazy, procrastinatin' bastid, I'd have ordered one online where they're plentiful. Unfortunately I now need a brick and mortar store. Any suggestions on where I can find one in NoVa/DC? I'm giving a buddy a ride to Dulles tomorrow and would prefer not to go into DC, but I'll brave it if I have to. Thanks in advance...

1. Kick
Damn it, people! I'll be thoroughly unimpressed with the DU collective if I can't get a recommendation for at least one good progressive shop in the DC area!

2. Damn wish I could help, I could give a list of NYC places
But that won't help you....

My next suggestion is download your own images, photoshop them to your own perfection and then print them on a nice HP shirt transfer paper, iron it on, and bingo bango, immediate gratification......

That's how I make most of my political T's...

4. Perhaps a progressive bookshop...
I'm reaching. There used to be a shop at Dupont called Common Concerns. During my years away, it vanished. Not that this helps you during the eleventh hour. If you know of any others, give them a ring. I usually purchase mine through Northern Sun via mail order.

5. I'm trying leanings, I'm in Arlington
I can't think of a place that would sell stuff like that. I can think of a couple of political collectibles shops in DC, but I doubt they'd have anything like that.

6. Call Left Bank on Connecticut Avenue NW.
It's near Dupont Circle. I haven't been seeing T-shirts there, but they do carry anti-Bush stickers, buttons, and coffee mugs with slogans like "Martin Sheen is my president" and "Kiss my Ashcroft." Maybe the staff will have some ideas...

And yes, I think they have a website. But if worst comes to worst, get your loved one a gift certificate from Northern Sun, which you can also find on the web. They have great T-shirts, buttons and bumper stickers for progressives.
