I'm going to go High School with Cigarette's now. I try to get my CDL as well so I have a occupation to help pay for school. Four years at Delphi earned me a bachelor degree from the University of Hard Knocks:) Too bad it doesn't get you anything though:(

I know a lot of places were planning cuts after the first of the year around here, but I didn't know anybody was hacking and slaying before Christmas. I got canned one year the day before Thanksgiving -- makes for a pleasant holiday.

I got "laid-off" last spring..

Actually budget problems caused the company I was working for to be unable to promote me or re-hire me. Thank goodness for unemployment.

It was a gift indeed, now I'm in NYC, making a good deal of money and living it up (and blowing a ton on rent, damn overpriced housing)

The best part about being unemployed, the unending ability to watch tons and tons of sports on TV!!! Especially now, you're going to at least have great time watching NFL/C.Men's B.Ball/C Football etc. Trust me, it does suck to not have disposable income, but there are benefits, like being able to wake up at 2pm to start watching a bowl game and having a couple of beers to go with it.

This incident could be the best thing that's happened to you recently, at least for me, it was. You never know where this will take you or what doors this will open, it's now your world to make as you choose. Oh, and I perfected my card count at Bjack, made some extra cash at the casinos, which works really well at 11am, when no one is there, though this is all contigent on having a casino near you.

From a 24 y/o male, you may hate tonight, but trust me, there are benefits, if you can get unemployment, rock it out, have a few months off, you deserve it.

Don't worry too much, I did, and it WASN'T WORTH IT!!!
