1. Kinda off topic but, I've noticed those scabs over his
eyebrows on several pictures. Did he choke on a pretzel too?

5. "Live"

is a component of Maya Unlimited from Alias|Wavefront. You can download a free version of Maya Complete at www.aliaswavefront.com.

Maya Live enables an animator to use a video clip as a moving background. The animation camera in the Maya software tracks specific, user-defined points in the movie background, which then enables the computer to define that movie as existing in a 3D space. At that point, the animator is able to, say, replace that neutral blue skullcap you might be wearing in the original movie with an elaborately inscribed helmet, for example.

The animator could just as easily make stars that sparkle and circle your head, as if you were confused. Really, truly impressive software.

6. Shadow from Saddam, no shadow from the bars...
and the shadow indicates that the light's below him even though the modeling of Saddam's face indicates that the light's above him.

Not just Photoshop. Really bad Photoshop.

7. I need clarification
Are you talking about Live Picture, the program?

If so... based on looking at the gradients it is very possible it was created with Live Picture and not Photoshop. It looks too crappy for photoshop.
