Poll question: just for pure, unadulterated pleasure
and diversion, which movie should I take my teenaged daughter to see tomorrow night?

(she's extremely liberal and wants to see both)

1. I voted Grudge 2.
It's going to be bad. Lot's of J-horror cliche's, dumbed down for an American audience. But it may have some good chills.

That Robin Williams movie is getting absolutely horrible reviews.

2. Why don't you let her choose?

3. you obviously don't have a teenaged daughter . . .
"I don't know."

"I want to see both of them."

"Which one do you want to see?"

"I don't know."

"You decide."

She'll love the "bad" japanese horror. She's very hip on anime, manga and such and really enjoyed the Ring movies, the first Grudge, etc., both for the lame japanese-ness and the creepy ambience.

BUT, she's politically aware and thinks the Robin Williams movie looks funny in a "bush is a worthless asshole" sort of way.

4. Nope - I only raised two very opinionated males!
As to the movie I myself would rather see, (and I'm old enough to have a teenage GRANDdaughter), it would be Grudge 2. I like Robin Williams, but his movies ain't usually all that great.

5. Teenaged boys!!!
I dodged another bullet! :-)

We decided. Grudge 2 it is.

Once in awhile a Robin Williams movie is a delight, but I think this ain't one of those times.
