4. Summer? what summer?
There's two seasons here - winter and August 15th. A few years ago it snowed August 15th.

The last one wasn't much. With the Solstice having just passed, it's downhill all the way now.

16. not "last" summer
The wildfire season around here was terrible. We were pretty happy when things started to "cool off".

17. I love winter
Actually, I love all four seasons. I'm a Michigan girl, who spent 22 long years in South Florida, and am now in New York, and I am loving the season changes. Only thing I don't like is driving in a snowstorm, which I did 2 week-ends ago for the first time since 1979. YIKES!

19. I love driving in the snow...
I keep my speeds low, but when I'm in a RWD I go nuts and when I'm cruising by an unplowed parking lot you know I am ALL ABOUT the e-brake.

Maybe I'm just a seasonal optimist. I am actually mad that we (I'm 2 hours from New York City) aren't getting any snow relatively soon. I wanted to go sledding this weekend!

Be safe is your winter travels, my dear!

20. I'm disappointed too, but
the weatherman did say we might get some flurries tomorrow. It rained most of the day today (Long Island), and I was wishing it was cold enough to snow - it would have been a lot of snow too! < sigh >

Happy Holidays! :)
