Spiders - bah. They're adorable and mean us no harm.

Takes alot more than a damn spider to freak me out!

8. Yeah, but I'm one of those curious idiots.
I know I'll regret it, but I still want to know what I missed out on.

and it wasn't even a poisonous one. The bite still took months to go away.

9. One of my mother's close friends died at 40 years of age...
Edited on Mon Oct-23-06 05:26 PM by KC2
...from a spider bite. Also, my husband also has a friend, bitten by a brown recluse, who had to have part of the side of her waistline removed (she now has a big indent where she used to have her side). Sure, some spiders are good...but not all of them!

10. Yup years ago
I got out of the shower and lifted my arm to put on deoderant and had a huge red swollen area on my side. About the size of two dinner plates. Didn't hurt at all. Dr. said it was a spider bite from a non poisonous species. It took 6 months to go away.

As an Aussie, I get to say that to anyone still breathing. :)

13. A spider bit me on my back
about a year ago . It swelled up and itched like a SOB for about six mo,and hurt like the dickensI kid you not !

There is still a brown spot there.

HOWEVER I catch spiders in a plastic cup and put them out doors when I find them in my home . They are beneficial to us because they eat flies and other obnoxious critters.
