Now I know why they don't make them that way anymore...
My son received a metal die-cast toy tractor from his grandpa today. I am the first in the family to stub my two littlest toes on it. Now I understand the demand for plastic.

Also:
"Not idly do the leaves of Lorien fall." My husband gave me the Elven brooch from LOTR for Christmas. Really lovely, silver with emerald green enamel. Just what I asked for!

My oldest kept us up until 5am over Christmas Eve. He had a stomach virus. Threw up all over his top bunk and then leaned over and threw up on the double bed below him. It was like he hadn't digested anything in two days. Our washer and dryer ran nonstop all night. I'll be throwing away a pillow. He had dry heaves until 5am.

So, what'dya get?

3. That flu bug had some nasty timing
Everything went well here. I got a new optical mouse and a mouse pad with a wrist rest that I'm using right now. I also got some clothes (which I really needed) and some money.

4. I must be selfsih, but...
Read the post and it may be selfish of me to think this, but...

All I could think of was "How cool would it be to have a girlfriend/wife who would want one of those brooches in the first place... :)

Merry Christmas to you and your family (and I hope your wee one gets better)

5. Thanks! That's the nicest compliment I've heard today.
It's mostly been, "You look tired" (No shit!)

Yeah, sometimes asking for the less expensive stuff is more moral (I doubt anyone got a limb chopped off making my brooch), practical, and in this case very romantic. The LOTR trilogy is something romantic myhusband and i have been able to enjoy together, quite a feat with two little boys, one of which is disabled (the one that puked). I love my Evenstar pendant as well.

My little puker hasn't since early this morning. He still isn't eating the way he normally does, though, which is everything in sight. Since he was two years old, for breakfast he could put away a banana, glass of juice, two six inch pancakes, and two scrambled eggs. And a strip of bacon if it wasn't still too hot. I suspect he'll be chowing down again like an NFL player by tomorrow.

6. A Call From A Friend I Care About
So what's your complaint about stumbling over a large, antique Tonka-Toy your parents never warned you about?

8. Oh. That makes me sad.
Sending you a virtual kiss and hug, but I guess that doesn't amount to much, huh.
