Back in my Navy days as a journalist, one of my jobs was to prepare a short news summary for the admiral's review. I'd scour the newspapers and AP wire and cut and paste together a two or three-page summary of the day's top news.

I'd also, on occasion, do the same thing with television news broadcasts, editing together a five-minute compilation of news items.

Personally I would have left out the parts related to corporations. That's just me. Bush supporters will see that (if they see it at all) as liberal conspiracy theories. Even I thought it was a little much to draw the conclusion that the reasor for war was to get Bush and his friends richer. That may be one element behind our being there, but I don't think it's the sole reason we're there. Just my .02.
