We have 13 thousand miles of wooded snowmobile trails, lots of decent mtns to ski on (maybe not as good as Co- but not bad either) And ice fishing or snowshoeing can be fun on occasion, but I'm already sick of the snow. Maybe if I had a snowmobile and could afford the lift tickets I wouldn't mind it so much. Last night on the news they said we've had 39 inches so far. That wasn't counting today either. :grr:

3. Winter only started a few days ago!

We're in for a long haul! But the FA says that Dec was going to be snowy but that Jan and Feb were going to be better. I hope it's right this year. I'm in SW NH and while we get alot more snow than Boston, you guys in the Northcountry are really getting hammered. Don't you wish you could hibernate and wake up on the first day of Spring?:-)

We only get a couple dustings a year. Not a whole lot of accumulation, except in the mountains. The most snow we ever got, at least since I've lived here, was the blizzard of 1993.

I must say, GOP, he's a good sport. I'm here in my cabin in the woods down a dirt road. It's very lovely and comfortable but I drain the pipes in the winter so there is no running water. Now I have plenty of water stored but you have to manually flush the toilet. This takes some practice. One of my most endearing recent memories of him is him coming out of the bathroom with his fist in the air yelling "victory!" Ah, what he will do for his old mom!
