The Nation
What is everyones opinion on "The Nation".

I'm interested in a liberal newspaper or periodical and this seems to be the safest bet. Should I shell out $40 for it?

1. nah
go to the library...you can leaf through it and read the 2-3 most interesting stories in ten minutes...send your $$ to the candidate of your choice instead

5. Perhaps, but...
If you want to keep a good liberal magazine you need to support them, too.

2. Go to their website.
www.thenation.com

They have some of the articles from the print issue online.

3. I subscribe to it.
It's a good magazine--no filler. It's the kind you save even after it's been read. There is a website, but it's kinda hard to take your computer into the bathroom with you.

4. Great mag
Your $40 will do more good here than with a candidate.

6. That $40
goes to pay people like Katrina and David and Matt. It's worthwhile to keep them on the payroll.

7. Katrina herself doesn't need the money
She's the proverbial Limousine Liberal. Thank gawd there are four or five of them around to finance failing lefty magazines!

David and Matt could probably use a few bucks. So could their stable of underpaid writers. It's a decent "investment," even if Tha Nation does like to polish its NYC reputation with the blood of the Democratic candidates.

8. I like it
I was going to get a subscription but then they bashed Clark...I'm also wondering what's the best liberal publication to subscribe to.

9. Absolutely!
I have subscribed to it for years. It is a good magazine. They do bash Democrats, too, if they think they are doing a poor job.

There is also "In These Times." You could try that, too.
