Ten vehicle packs with 2 car lengths between them going 75mph+ and half them were minivans. There also were all kind of yahoos towing stuff with too small of vehicles. I saw only 6 cop cars between Cincinnatti and Atlanta and half of them were at minor accidents. I guess the holidays combined with "homeland security code orange" is too much for the police. I hope we don't pay for this lack of traffic enforcement with bad car accidents.

1. been there, done that, in a Semi Truck and a vette......
no fun either way. Stay cool, take it easy, but KEEP UP!!! and stay right!

SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT ...

should say

ALL TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT EXCEPT TO PASS

The driver education in this country SUCKS! If we learned to drive like they do in England and Germany, we would be a lot better off.

7. well
Of course if you would drive like they(we) do in Germany you wouldn't be better off. Driving less than 75mph is considered standing; 120mph is considered a reasonable cruise speed (less draws aggression and thus danger, not to mention the trucks sharing the slow lane).

2. 75mph on an interstate highway is fast??
...and let's be honest...who actually leaves a car length for every 10mph in between themselves and the car ahead of them?

I've seen motorcycles screaming down the highway at 100+ and passing between cars in the left and right lanes. I've seen people weaving through traffic at high speeds. That's dangerous. 10mph over the speed limit? I don't see the problem.

3. I don't remember the last time I hit 75mph
Lose control at those speeds and you are dead meat...or paralyzed.

6. I remember driving in LA and "constantly slipping backwards"
I would leave a good amount of space in front of me and every minute someone would merge into it. It was ok, I was on vacation and in no hurry.

Don't miss the Southwest American museum in Anaheim. It has rooms full of Native American history.

They investigated some pre columbian pottery that we have.. I did not want to part with them, but they told me about them and looked at them for me :)

Lots of great pieces on display there

9. Now I gotta go back for Fossils in the Fast Lane!
I had friends in LA I used to visit often. Now I need an excuse to go to LA again. Thanks for the recommendation.

I love the name of this exhibit--Fossils in the Fast Lane: Discoveries from the Eastern Transportation Corridor
