Poll question: What is the correct spelling of this word? |

Just wanted to take a stab at psychologists in general with goofballs with fancy papers touting their biased "professional" opinions on certain right-leaning networks.
Plus the fact I never much liked how childhood has come to be treated as a disease, and how they say Paxil can cure all.

I think you might be confusing psychologists and psychiatrists a bit.
Psychologists may not proscribe medicines such as Paxil, only psychiatrists can.

Same thing really. One of them says, "Here, try this drug!" while the other oohs and aahs over the effects and tells the people they see to get that drug from the other guy.

3. Psychotrophic drugs do not work for everyone.. |
|
I tried MANY during my treatment for major depression, and found NONE that helped much..
Some people are lucky and they find the magic pill, but lots never do..

The serotonin drugs help me immensely
I started with prozac and it completely changed the world for me. Unfortunately it stopped working after some time - I had some serious surgery and it just stopped but another drug did help, and I'm on an even different one now.
It's been over 10 years now and I'm just one of those people with an imbalance with enzymes and neurons that don't fire right without the help of the meds and they work very well on me. I've asked about not taking them anymore but our feeling (after several discussions between me and the Dr. over the years) is always why mess with success - if it's not broken now lets not try and fix it!
