Who will be on line and DUing tonight?

After finding out that most places are so packed that they are selling tickets for standing room only. And Half of my friends have the flu and the other half will not go out due to fear of flu. Add that I got a ton of Margaretta and Tom Collen's mix (and the booze for them) for Christmas. I will ,and this is the first time since I turned 21, staying home!

So who will I be talking with tonight?

Members around Portland Oregon and the Pacific NW will be snowed-in. There's probably 4" at noon, still snowing. This will probably remain for a day or two. It doesn't sound like much, but driving is not a good idea. Black Ice is a problem. Too many are unused to driving in non-Californian conditions. Downtown will host a Ball Drop, music and fireworks at Pioneer Square. It'll be a smaller than expected crowd, probably, but fun for those who can make it.

A snow covering, (covering the built environment, overpowering our mindless culture), can be a hopeful sign. The future looks grim to me. Quarreling progressives, clueless automaton consumers, offensive corporate dictates within lightly disguised airwave propaganda, deceitful overlord plastic smiles for new wars haunting.

8. A little bit..

I am here at my grandmas, online. There will be a family party here. Across the street is where my friend and his fiancee to be live, they are having a big New Years/ Goodbye party. So I will be staggering back and forth all night.

I plan to be so totally shitfaced that I won't wake up til I hit Seattle. :D
