Happy Effing New Year! I just cleaned up the spare room...
AKA the Junkhole from Hell.... Man, that was a great big ol' piece of shite.... :yoiks: At least it's passable now. It used to be known as the guest room.

Happy New Year to all, and I hope you're having more fun today than I am. :P Now, I'm off to clean the effing kitchen...

Laundry, dishes, cleaning up the house... aka, behaving like grown-ups again  *sigh*

Here's hoping you have a very happy new year! Good luck with the kitchen!

I've got a couple more projects I wanted to tackle over this break, but being sick put a definite damper on those plans...

How's the kitchen coming along?

I never finish everything I set out to do on breaks/vacations, but that's OK. :) Gotta have some time to have fun and relax! :D :hi:

3. I wish I felt well enough to clean...
..and I'm going to have to clean up..big time...when my guests leave. They've taken, what used to be a pristinely clean bathroom, and splattered specks of toothpaste onto the mirror, and who knows what else (I'm trying not to look too closely or I'll scream)...*sigh* I know what I'll be doing next week. :-(

I got a shock the other day...I've been trying to replace my vinyl with CDs and got the Blind Faith CD and was shocked to see it had the art of the English release, not American.

My daughter thought I was a perv.

27. Happy Effing New Year (seems to be the theme here) NWC!
Guest rooms have a way of doing that. I can remember a guest room in a house past that had so much shite in it that one could hardly open the door. Now we have a huge attic for that. It's pretty scary up there actually, but it's out of sight out of mind unless we need up there.

The guest room now has an occupant in it so it can't be just filled with junk.

29. Yeah, Ours Has Served As A Holding Place Until The Attic Was Open
we need a new drop down staircase for our attic because a while back my wife and I were on it bringing stuff down and it broke and we fell me to the ground, her on top of me.

It's an old house that was custom built so that it is hard to find a drop down stair mechanism already made, and I'm too damned lazy to build one myself. I will sometime, but the ladder has worked!

A new Chimp come down to keep you warm

We don't have basements in the South, water table too high, creepy crawly things get in them.

Of course when a tornado is coming one wishes they had a basement!

I hope you use a washing machine, I'd hate to think you had one hand in the water and the other one typing!

He looks very warm and furry, just my type. Yes, now the sheets are in the dryer. The comforter is in the wash. The family went out to dinner (I claimed a tummy ache; would just be too awkward for a family outing right now).

What a way to start the new year. But at least I took the first baby step (or bite of the elephant if you prefer  )

31. We're re-doing my son's room and I'm going through junk in our
guest room/second office.

Gawd -- sometimes I just wish I were a cavewoman. I could just throw away my bones on a pile, and that would be all the junk I'd have to deal with. No cleaning -- just picking through my mate's hair, looking for parasites. Now that's some good times.

Today was supposed to be a "pajama day" for me and my wife; we weren't going to do any useful work or get out of our pajamas all day. Instead, we just spent four hours taking down the Christmas tree and packing up the decorations. Whew! I'm beat! :boring:
