I've been watching "The Secret of Roan Inish" today.
I'd forgotten I owned the video, and forgotten what a magical and beautiful film it is.

3. Truly a great one.
Been years since I've seen it...shall add it to my NetFlix queue.

4. John Sayles, one of my favorite writer/directors. Also wrote
Passion Fish, Lone Star, Silver City, and Eight Men Out. Except for Eight Men Out, he often writes about small towns and their unique, often closed, environments, often with an outsider as a lead character trying to fit in and work out some mystery.

6. Thanks for reminding me about that
My now 19-year-old daughter loved it as a kid. Would be nice for us to dust it off and watch it again.
