There was one hilarious moment... when it was her turn to put the ring on my finger, she was crying happy tears, and the justice of the peace asked her if she wanted to say anything... so Gina says her piece - very sweet of course - and then says "and your ring doesn't fit!" as she is slipping it on. LOL It did fit, but was a little tight due to all the salt in the holiday food and water retention from the previous few days... she laughed and everyone laughed - a classic moment we'll be retelling for years! :D

....I wonder if it's anything like Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro in Baton Rouge...had the BEST Oyster-Eggplant Napoleon there a few yrs ago...layers of thin sliced FRIED eggplant with HUGE fried oysters ...a crab stuffing in between the layers of eggplant...covered with a seafood/cheese bisque on bed of angel hair pasta with their stupendous house salad and bread...then the COFFEE and white chocolate w/ macadamia nut Cheesecake...OMG...ate on that for a couple meals even after Mom and I had shared the entree'!!!!!!!11 :9

Your posting regarding Gina's handling of your wedding band made me laugh and think back to my wedding day. Before I walked down the aisle, my wedding coordinator told me to take off my engagement ring, so that my husband could slip on my wedding band. I moved my engagement ring over to my middle finger, and didn't think any more about it.

When we came to the part where Hubby placed the wedding ring on my finger, he looked absolutely startled. No engagement ring, LOL! Since he was already at the alter, he didn't realize that I'd moved it to another finger - and here he was, all set to remove it!

Mr. Penndems reminds me of that on our anniversary. :)
