Things I've learned so far in 2007
-Climbing fences is no fun when you're an adult. And by no fun, I mean painful and potentially dangerous. Upside, it's an excuse to take a muscle relaxer.
-While nobody actually celebrates anything on New Year's Day (or, for that matter, on business hours on New Year's Eve,) nothing is open.
-The post office won't open tomorrow either, in order to mourn a very old man who was a president back when my mom was in high school. No, I don't know what that has to do with the mail, either.
-Even barefoot my five year old runs faster than I do.
-My car takes exactly one gallon of windshield wiper fluid.
-Goodwill doesn't want my junk, either.
-LeftyMom's rule of laundry: the sum of the week's laundry is as many baskets as you have, plus one. Alternately, as many hangers as you have, plus ten. This rule is constant, no matter how many laundry baskets or clothes hangers you buy, or how often you purge your closet.
