Have you ever been on a nullifying jury?
If so, I'd love to hear your story. I think it is the height of democracy and patriotism for citizen juries to nullify laws they believe to be contrary to the principles of American constitutional government.

I relish the chance to someday serve as a juror on a marijuana possesion trial and vote "not guilty" as a statement of opposition to the government's idiotic drug war policies.

1. The problem that is pointed out in opposition to
nullifying is the racism problem. Man participates in lynching black neighbor, white jury let's him off despite 20 black eyewitnesses. Solution, try racist in federal court for civil rights violations.

I think that it is a time honored tradition to keep power in the hands of citizens and out of the hands of judges, who in my considered and experienced opinion, are too often crooks or incompetents.
