Overeating. Drinking. Pretending you like Republicans at parties. I just hate this time of year.

1. Just 3 more days...
..and then I will be dancing nekkid in my own living room again (when the in-laws leave)!

2. Nah, I always feel sad when the holidays end and the cold, long days of winter are ahead
I try to stretch Christmastide as long as I can. I'm having a Twelfth Night party for my church and friends Friday night.

After that, it'll be over. :-(

3. Yes and no.
I was too busy during December to really enjoy the season as I would have liked, but going back to the old grind is oddly depressing also.

We spent quite a bit of time at my in-laws - they are Republicans, but luckily, I don't have to "pretend" to like them. I did have to sit through about 45 minutes of John Gibson one day, though.

5. Not really.
Christmas is my favorite holiday, and I've been in Oregon since Saturday (missed actual Christmas Day with them), visiting with mom and my siblings and others. I've had a blast.

I love driving around looking at all the lights, everything looks sad afterwards.

21. I don't hate the holidays... I hate the hype
I hate 45 days of nothing but Christmas carols, and everyone has to be in line for 9 days for the latest video game, and there's never any place to park when I have to run errands.

I like having my family near me, and cooking them a nice meal, and maybe having a present or two to open while my family opens theirs.

I liked to be wished happy holidays and happy new year and I like being off work for 10 days.

I didn't overeat, but I did drink too much New Year's Eve--thankfully I was home and could just fall into bed.

22. I'm very glad; actually looking forward to working tonight...
at my p/t job in a mall. The kiddies have gone back to school and the crazy holiday shoppers have to stop spending money like crazy for a while. Peace at last!

Although all the Feb. 14th crap is starting to spring up...ug. I'm over holidays in general...

25. Had enough
girlfriend out-of-town working, dad acting like he's nice and caring, mom being fed up with him (I remind her that she's 40 years too late), brothers acting like asses and mental cases, friends that can't think, walk, and chew gum at the same time.

The only sane and behaved one was the cat.

really enjoying all that sleep, so much that I was actually starting to feel guilty about how much damn sleep I was doing. However, I'm glad it's a short work week, and there's another Monday off on the 15th!

40. Yes, first of all I don't know why Christmas and New
Year's are called "the holidays." It's not like everyone gets the time in between off from work. I still had to work. Those days weren't spent goofing off that's for sure.

I don't like it when shows like Sam Seder's goes on hiatus and air best of episodes.

Some act as if the time between Thanksgiving and New Year's is nothing but free time for everyone. The same with summer. Not everyone gets three months off...um...some of us are actually WORKING.
