1. By 'the movie'
do I correctly assume you mean "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," the greatest cinematic achievement in the history of celluloid?

Consider your answer very carefully.

3. Didn't care for it.

Seemed really self-laudatory in that most of the new jokes and routines were about the fact that it was a stage production. Plus the whole point about it being a Broadway play seemed a bit strange considering it was at the State Theater in Cleveland when I say it.

4. Brilliant!!!

Definitely keeps the story and humor of the movie, but takes it in a completely new direction.

As Eric Idle said about it, one of the things Python always tries to do is poke fun at the medium. Which is why things that may work great in the movie should not be tried on stage, but new things should. Like "the song that goes like this", and the parodies of "phantom" and "les mis". He never meant it to be a carbon copy of the movie done on stage.

Loved it. So did my wife, who normally does not like Python. And I got a rabbit hand puppet.

And I hear he may try "the life of Brian" as a musical next.

5. No, but I have the soundtrack.
I can't imagine it could ever be as good as the movie though.

But I have the soundtrack, and when I took Applied Voice at my Community College last year, I got to work on "The Song That Goes Like This". Needless to say, the other students loved it...lol

9. Saw it in Toronto last year.
My partner surprised me with tickets to see it. :-)

God, I loved "Spamalot". An absolutely first rate musical and a lot of fun. One of the most enjoyable times I've ever spent in a theater.

14. Nope...but I sooooo want to.
Hubby and I have even looked at their site to see where they are touring and if it will get close enough for us to go one weekend. We absolutely LOVE the soundtrack. Hubby was working on an arrangement for boys of "Knights of the Round Table"; I don't think he finished it yet.

We watched "Holy Grail" on our 3rd/4th date in college. It remains a fave in our house.
