9. Very bad start actually

The sore throat is there, and I could hardly sleep at all last night. I lay awake till 3am and then woke up again at 5:30. Maddeningly, I could not sleep at all after that, so at 7am I gave in and got up. I also have heartburn which will not go away. :(

Mine was quiet too. We had a late dinner, watched "Dinner for one" and then it was time to say "Happy New Year" and get outside to look at the firworks. And then we went to bed... LOL

Got back home last night, the train was on time :wow:, it was cold in my apt (since I don't heat when I am gone) and I was glad when I was underneath my covers.
Today it is back to normal and during my lunchbreak I got the last calender "The most beautiful libraries in the world" :woohoo:

Yes, back to work and for me today too. It was a long weekend b/c I took Friday off, although I did get work phone calls at home. Yes, I'm that important. :rofl:

I haven't heard from AirmensMom since Saturday. Suspect she's alright. Maybe she's just decompressing from the holidays.

This year for my good luck New Years meal, I went Italian. Made Lentils with Leeks and Cotechino Sausage. The story goes that the lentils are coin shaped and represent financial security, something we all need. Also they eat oranges for love - needless to say I ate two!

New Year's Eve had plans to go out with the crew, but our social secretary broke her toe at our first stop. one of our friend's house. He has custody of his daughter this week and had a party at his place. It had rained for 2 days, making the ground outside wet. She slipped on some stairs in her fancy heels and broke her 3rd toe. After making repairs, the go-out part of the evening was over, so we went to another friend's house, broke out the libations and ordered pizza and stayed in. Not the preferred plan, but so be it. :P
