Unfortunately progressives don't, so this is the only sort of thing we tend to hear:
"Their own media show little interest in the rest of the world."
This is entirely understandable. Compared to the variety, wealth, enterprise and spirit of the Americans, the rest of the world just isn't terribly interesting. To dwell upon conditions in "Great" Britain (to take one but example), would not only be stultifying in the extreme, but also a waste of time. Do you think Augustus troubled himself overmuch with events in Armenia? Or Pericles the shrunken towns of Mycenean Greece?
Europe is dying and hasn't even vitality enough to reproduce itself. Its decadence is evinced in collectivism, political correctness, CCTV cameras, the unwillingness to apply capital punishment, the end of free speech, the illegalization of gun ownership and this newspaper.
Enjoy the next 15 years, which will likely be your last. And then when Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, and Birmingham have abandoned the place, we'll buy up the remains.
