So, I hardly slept at all last night
Edited on Tue Jan-02-07 04:57 PM by billyskank
I lay awake all night with a damn itchy throat. Needless to say I went about my day today in a bumbling daze, and was immensely glad when I got home. I turned in for bed very early.

Just on the point of dropping off when a fucking car alarm goes off right outside my window. (My bedroom faces the street). Which goes off for about a minute, and then falls silent for a few seconds. Then goes off for another minute. And does it a third time for good measure.

Finally all is quiet for a couple of minutes.

Then the alarm goes off another three times, just like before.

Then silence.

Then another two bursts of alarm.

Now it is quiet again, but by this time my nerves are completely FUCKING FRAZZLED. I'm lying there with my heart racing like a jackhammer. Sleep? What the fuck is sleep?

I got up for some hot milk.

I swear people must get murdered over less. :nuke:

5. Doesn't matter....
modern life or not, it still sucks when you can't sleep because of things like that. Maybe get some earplugs? I dunno...

7. Ya know, a nice brick through the windshield from the second story
would really send the perfect message to the asshole who owns that car.

11. Sleep deprivation can be fun, yes?
Probably better than getting high.

I'm kidding, lol. It sucks when you don't get any sleep. Noise isn't so much a factor as I am hearing impaired and without the aids everything is pretty much silent. It's the light that bothers me and even in a pitch black room I have to wear a sleep mask.

12. billy, you're not working with your cold, are you?
I'm sorry about the alarm. I have a satellite-guided missile in my backyard - should I launch it at the car?
