Hello from a library computer

Where I finally had to go in order to check my email and get a much-needed DU fix. My phone line has been out since the day after Christmas when we had a big windstorm - amazingly the power stayed on but a tree took out the phone line (and a neighbor's new car :( ) and the phone co. told us we "might" have service by Tuesday (today).

Makes me want to call them (presuming I had a phone) and tell them they "might" get a payment by next July.

This keyboard is very noisy.

The only worse thing than having dial-up is NOT having it. ~sigh~

2. So I get home and discover the phone line is fixed

Figures. I'm happy about that, of course, but it kind of reminds me of the old days when you could smoke in restaurants - the best way to guarantee that your food would arrive at your table was to light up a cigarette. I've been jonesing all week but on the day I decide to venture out to use a public computer, the repair crew shows up. :eyes:
