finally, coffee! (swoon) and no gas crisis!
for some reason, our gas wasn't working this am and I didn't have time to drag out the electric coffee maker before I had to drive the kid to school. The gas was on last night when I used the dryer....

I had visions of the gas co. digging up the yard, but for some reason the gas "wasn't getting from the meter into the house," according to the gas co. guy. And he had no idea why. At least it's fairly warm here.

:wtf:

Crisis averted and now I can feed the coffee addiction. You never know how much you need coffee until it's not available.

1. Not for me, I'm always aware that I need coffee...
But then I'm a serious addict. My first thought every morning is "when can I go back to bed?" quickly followed by "the sooner I get dressed, the sooner I can get my coffee!" I would not last long without it...lol

2. as I drink it, I am breathing a sigh of relief
and I don't drink a lot of it. I had to drink my husband
s tea, instead, so I was in "dopey" mode....;)

It's also nice to know I don't have a huge bill for gas line repair or some such, as well. I love when a problem is easily solved!

3. That is good!
I can't have tea until after I've had at least one cup of coffee (black, and strong too). I almost cried once while in college because my coffee maker stopped working, so I promplty went out and bought a new one, lol...

4. I have a plunger pot
so I really didn't want to get out the electric coffee maker if I didn't have to....

when I was in college, we had those little coils you could put in hot water for coffee, hot chocolate or tea. This was in the days before fancy coffee makers and microwaves....now college kids practically bring their parent's kitchen with em to the dorm....

5. I just have a little 4-cup coffee maker...
Of course the first one I had was used (My mother gave it to me), so you could say I did have my parent's kitchen! LOL It worked (for a while). A friend sent me a hot water heater, and it sure came in handy (mmmm, Ramen...lol).
