Since I rant more often than compliment, something for you today that I like.
I like thinking about Billy Joel being publicly humiliated and then killed by David Gilmour on live TV.

I like thinking about Kenny G being doused with gasoline by Joni Mitchell, set on fire by Dame Gwyneth Jones, and then beat to death with a cast iron frying pan by Les Paul.

I like watching untalented jackoffs humiliated greatly by Simon Cowell on American Idol.

I like thinking about CNN constantly rerunning the video clip of the moment that Michael Bolton's ego finally got too big for his head, exploding it during a performance on the Today Show, showering the audience with blood but, not surprisingly, no brain matter.

I have goosebumps of goodness when I think about Poison, Cinderella, Ratt, Motley Crue, Guns & ROses, and all the other hair bands being manacled and burned to death on a massive pyre made of their own shorn hair, on live TV, after which America dances and celebrates in the streets singing "They're gone! They're Gone! Our collective unconscious is less tainted and we are evolving as a species!!! They're Gone!!"

Ah, the new year. A time to think of the good things and a future of hope, with the whole year wide open ahead of us full of possibility, before the reality of November sets in and we realize that the untalented still have the places of honor in our society.

6. The beating will so violent that it will be ungrammatical in its rendering
It will be blunt, visceral, immediate, and done without nuance or gracefulness, a rage-fueled punishment of holy vengeance, hence just "beat", instead of the more gentle "beaten".

7. "massive pyre made of their own shorn hair",
one beautiful phrase like that can make a girl's whole day.

Since you didn't mention Skid Row by name, I assume you are a Sebastian Bach fan, so here, just for you, is an 8 minute live performance of "I Remember You", because I'm sure you do remember them

9. Thanks, my day hasn't been the greatest
and that was a nice pick-me-up. Especially the part about the hair bands. It's nice to dream.
