10 people for dinner, here's what is cooking in my kitchen.
I'm making a German type meal by request by my visiting Philipina sister in-law.

So Red Cabbage, Roast Pork, Spaetzle, Roast Carrots and Rolladen.

Rolladen is a beef dish, thin slices of beef rolled up with stuff inside. My version though includes, thin layer of mustard, pancetta, a quarter of a 1/2 sweet 1/2 sour pickle, 1 asparagus spear, roasted red pepper a bit of onion and red onion, and a bit of the same onions only sauteed until golden to give a bit of a different flavor. Then rolled up tight, browned in a pan, then slow cooked in a gravy that I add mushrooms and fresh parsley to near the end. That's in one crock pot now.

My red cabbage has been in the other crock pot all day and the house smells great! It's got apples, onions, garlic, cloves, salt, pepper, red wine, red wine vinegar and brown sugar.

The roast pork is roasting right now on a bed of onions, carrots, celery and fresh thyme sprigs from my garden (what's left of them) and seasoned with the same thyme, salt, pepper (freshly ground always), a bit of garlic and parsley.

The roast carrots have butter, salt, pepper, and brown sugar.

So, anyone hungry? ;)

6. Oh hell yeah. Never heard of it in any other way.
:)

I put some fresh thyme and parsley in my spaetzle as well. Almost time to make that now. Last thing I have to cook. Then it's all slice, serve and eat. :)
