Madden-Porn? x(

LAYTON -- A 14-year-old Layton boy who found pornography instead of football on a video game he received as a gift will be getting a belated Christmas present from Circuit City Inc.
The Richmond, Va.-based company plans to send Kolton Mahoney a new Madden NFL 07 video game to replace the one it sold that contains the porn and will also provide several other games, Tim Mahoney, the boy's father, said Tuesday.
"I'm pleased they are willing to take responsibility for something that happened in one of their stores," he said after Circuit City officials contacted him with the news.
Kolton received the video game for Christmas from his uncle, Dan Mahoney, who purchased it Dec. 2 at a Circuit City store in Modesto, Calif.
The game appears to be authentic, is embossed with a Madden NFL 07 label and came in a factory-sealed case.
When the game is inserted in a Xbox 360 console hooked to a video monitor, titles of several adult films produced by a studio in Northridge, Calif., and an explicit image pop up.
Tammy Schachter, a spokeswoman for Electronic Arts, a Redwood City, Calif.-company that manufacturers Madden NFL 07, said it is working with Circuit City to investigate the Mahoneys' complaint.
"We regret any embarrassment and inconvenience to the family, and we are working with our retail partner to see what happened," Schachter said. "This game was released in August 2006 and has sold over 5 million units. We've never had any type of complaint."
