Beautiful blonde with excellent speech! She looks as pretty as a picture -- looks no older than 30!

1. Yeah, and she's MY rep now =)
I was happy to vote for her...as I said, 'Not only are we getting rid of that prick John Sweeney, but damn, she's HOT!'
lol...hated sweeney...good riddance to that garbage...he was a wife beater, too.

3. Thank you very much =)
It was a proud moment...considering that our race was one of the 'closely watched' races on CNN...in fact, people pretty much just wrote her off, said she had no chance...but she overcame incredible odds and won a decisive victory...something for her to be proud of, for sure.

Oh and I forgot to mention, she was on Hardball the other day with
a republican woman, Rep Granger from Texas.

Yikes! I think the Dems have much better looking representatives.

6. She's adorable! I love the curly hair!
I have to pay $65.00 every four months for my curls! Jealous, that's what I am.

Good night and good luck!

My new Rep is Gabrielle Giffords. She's about 35, pretty attractive too.

Congress is looking good these days. :)

8. She could use a stylist....
that grey monstrosity is...well, awful. :puke:

No woman's pants should wrinkle at the top like that....That ain't right.

9. Well, have YOU ever chosen a suit fabric that wasn't really photogenic?
I have. I'll give your "monstrosity" comment a pass.

Good-bye.

And I never plan to...Although, it would be pretty funny!

And jeez, chill out...

15. Not sure I understand what you have stated.
Since you've chosen to be anonymous in your personal description, I have no idea whether you are a woman or a man! So I don't know whether you're making a joke or not. Most people have worn suits for some occasion in their lives, whether it's a Bar Mitzvah or a funeral, a job interview, something. Why would it look funny on you?

Thanks for the post. I'm well chilled.

24. Pants wrinkling like that comes from sitting down
some fabrics will just wrinkle like that once they've been worn through a day.

No one should use a stylist. Those people on "What Not to Wear" are annoying know-it-alls who should find real jobs.

25. I was hoping someone would point this out first
The gray pantsuit has that "Laura Bush would wear this" feel to it.

Rep. Gillibrand has some beautiful clothes in her closet--I've seen them. This outfit isn't one of them.

12. Too blonde for my taste.
I have a hard time finding blonde, blue-eyed, Anglo-Saxon/Nordic-looking women attractive; they tend to remind me a bit of my mother, and that's just creepy.

14. Funny. My mother and I look alike -- we're both brunettes.
Edited on Fri Jan-05-07 12:04 PM by Radio_Lady

I've always been attracted to blond, blue-eyed men, but never married one! I also prefer blonde women to brunettes. I have no idea why!

19. I'd take it as a positive if a girlfriend looked like my mom
My mom is a good role model and 57 anyway now, so it wouldn't bother me. My mom's a brunette, but I'd feel the same if she wasn't.

17. well, god knows being attractive and young is the main
criteria for a representative.

However, smarts and organization (well, and money and fundraising skills) seem to have combined to give us a 66 year old female Speaker.

just sayin.

our culture is so obsessed with looks and it bothers me sometimes.

22. I understand. I'm sure the women in Congress have the brains to go with their beautiful faces.
It was just a surface observation on my part. Sorry if it brought up some difficult thoughts.

23. It's just as easy to drool over smart, accomplished people
as stupid, useless ones.

I might add that an intelligent, aware person can't help but be beautiful; it shows in his or her animated face.

27. I was in DC for her swearing in
She is even more intelligent than she is attractive.

Wasserrman-Schultz is her mentor, their offices are across the hall from each other.

I have pictures in my photobucket account:

Here are a few

She made a quick run in to greet supporter between votes

Her son Theo

Jonathan Gillibrand, right
