I'm having an ADD day
And the fuck of it is, I've got one of those back-of-the — dammit, I missed a spot — -neck headaches that only Excedrin will fix, but if I take Excedrin, the caffeine will — whoops, gotta clean the cat box — make it even worse. Hey, did you guys see that thing last night on... CRAP, I forgot to get bungee cords!

1. I hope the bungee cords aren't so you can jump off your roof
Yeah, I've had those days. I remember one day in midwinter in Vermont when I did about 12 loads of laundry and toted them all outside to hang on the line - I had to wade through about 4 feet of snow to do it but by golly, I did it!

I also mopped all the floors, dusted everything in sight, baked about 12 dozen cookies, washed the ceilings, scrubbed the shelves.....

I'd rather be spaced out and lazy. Hell, I think I'd rather be depressed.

7. I remember a day like that
before the warnings about Ephedra. I was getting ready to move to this town, and I took four of the suckers. Made me wanna go out and paint the driveway. :silly:

I'd waaaaayyyy rather be like this than depressed, though. I was depressed from Monday night through Wednesday, and it reminded me of just how much it SUCKS! x(

6. LOL!
I get like that when I'm on the phone. I have a headset, so I can walk around with both hands free, and a lotta times I'll start cleaning the kitchen or something in mid-conversation.

If five or six of yas called me every day, I'd have the cleanest house in town.

8. Could you lay down for a bit
Face down...

I'll give you a massage. I'll start from the back of your head, down your neck, shoulders, shoulder blades, down the sides of your spine, to the small of your back and back up again.

Just relax. Listen to some Deep Purple.

I have a question for you....I'm wracking my brain trying to think of a song that has at the end a poem which starts...

Breathe deep
The lingering gloom
Twilight.....something something from every room
etc. etc.

It is driving me FUCKING CRAZY. What is that song!?

10. 'Nights in White Satin'
The Moody Blues.

Breathe deep the gathering gloom
Watch lights fade from every room
Bedsitter people look back and lament
Another day's useless energy's spent
Impassioned lovers wrestle as one
Lonely man cries for love and has none
New mother picks up and suckles her son
Senior citizens wish they were young
Cold-hearted orb that rules the night
Removes the colors from our sight
Red is gray and yellow white
And we decide which is right
And which is an illusion

But... relax to Deep Purple? You gotta be kiddin'! :headbang:

12. When I was a DJ
back in the days of magnetic cylinders, I once played that. When it ended, I was still a bit under its spell and there were a few seconds of dead air.

I tended to forget that DJs aren't supposed to listen to what they play.

13. I have a tendency to quote that when there's a full moon
Since I get to work at 4 am the moon is just hanging there and I'll get out of the car and declaim, "Cold-hearted orb..."

The dozing winos in the parking lot probably love me... :eyes:

We've talked enough that you know a power-turn is my best conversational asset. You just never know where my brain will lead. Sigh.

15. I had an ADD song in the head type of day yesterday.
It went from Moonlight Sonata, to that stupid Mellencamp song from the chevy commercial, to the vonage commercial song, to the song from Green Acres, to my high school fight song, to the Monty Python theme song Liberty Bell.

It went back and forth from those songs. Needless to say, I had a hard time sleeping that night.

This is from an email from the minister at my church about his Sunday sermon. I thought you'd like it. The Buckeyes play on Monday...

"By the way, inasmuch as a certain athletic competition is happening near Phoenix on Monday night, there will be no evening meetings scheduled at Trinity. However, the Chapel may be reserved for those of wavering faith who wish to come and pray for their favorite team. An example of an appropriate intercession might be, “O Lord, may the winners be gracious in victory and the losers comforted in defeat.” Our sincere hope is that our friends in the Sunshine State will be filled with comfort by midnight Monday. It’s the charitable thing to do."
