Update on my mom...

As some of you may know, my mom went into the hospital Thursday for a kidney transplant. She went into surgery at 11:15 at night and the surgery was 3 hours. She had some complications during the surgery as she had lost a substantial amount of blood, luckily they were able to control the bleed out and gave her blood transfusions. I was informed that on Friday evening my mom had a small heart attack due to the lack of blood and trauma to it, the ultrasound on her heart revealed some damage but it could be old damage from a previous CGF.

Other than that she is doing fine and the new kidney is doing great, there are no problems with it so far and her urine output is great. There is blood in the urine but they said that is normal. She is lucid and is pretty much back to her old self despite the pain.

She should, barring any compications, be out within seven days.

I want to thank all of you DUers who have given me and my mom support and prayers.

sounds like the heart attack wasn't significant in the scheme of things now for the acceptance of the kidney and the recovery process.

4. Yes, she is doing great now, but she is not out of the woods yet...

So I am going to continue to keep praying for her.
