1. So, you're a Dallas fan?
The only number that matters is the one with the "W" next to it...

2. Almost choked when I read that.
Seattle since their inception into the league. San Diego before that. Still disappointed at the SB results from last year

4. Hey, have faith
I think the Ravens won the Super Bowl one year when they entered the playoffs as a wildcard.

8. Both teams suck
It was the .500 Bowl. 2 mediocre teams vying for ...zzzzzzzzzz Huh? Romo is a bigger waste of space than Peyton Manning.

The Bolts will take it all this year. You don't fuck with LT or the best defense in the game. Merriman will eat your young, then come after the rest of your family.

GO CHARGERS!!!!

9. Hi ZombyWoof.

How are you?

Guess what?

My favorite teams are--

1- SeaHawks ( hush!- they do NOT suck)
2.-Chargers ( Tomlinson rocks!)

They are class acts, both of them,
especially their coaches.

I've dropped the Vikings
they aren't the same team, anymore.

And- I still like you!

15. I lived in Seattle for years
The Seahawks made me wealthy on a few bets from time to time. My poor friends were saps. :D Back then, they and the Chargers were in the same division and I used to go the games when they were in town. There were a LOT of Bolts fans in the northwest, probably transplants.

I am sorry, but an 8-8 team should forfeit their spot in the playoffs. They lucked out in this one. It was satisfying to watch Dallas implode, however. ;-)

20. Hey- I lived in Seattle, too.

And I lived in Bremerton for a year.

That's one of the main ties I have, being a Hawk fan.

That and the fact they they were the true champs
of last year's SuperBowl, when you count the touchdown taken away
from them and the fraudulent one given the Steelers.

I don't care where the friggin ball is flying, where it lands,
is where it counts! That was not a touchdown, and
the ref that gave it to the Steelers should be fired!!

Now, if only the opposing team would stop trying to
kill Shaun Alexander- but I don't see that happening
anytime soon.

:grr:

10. The problem with the mediocrity statement is...
if not for the "prevent/lose" defense in the game against Seattle a couple of weeks back, your Chargers were in a world of hurt. I wish you luck, but tread carefully.

16. It proves that even during an off game in bad weather
The Bolts know how to win. That's the difference between a good team and a weak one. They didn't play their best in mildew-land, but they played well enough.

14-2 vs. 8-8. Hmmm! No comparison.

23. The Bolts may know how to win
but they could use some help in recruiting fans with a little more class. And who is 8-8?

11. the cowboys never even would've played tonight without romo
and he also happens to be one of the nicest, most humble guys i know. he didn't lose this game for them by himself, there were 4 quarters to play and the dallas defense sucked...

romo is a good guy and a damn good football player, and far be it from me to ever say this to anybody about anything period, but you don't know what you're talking about.

17. Romo chokes
Saw him choke on Thanksgiving, Xmas, and this playoff game. If he was half as good as you say, he wouldn't have muffed that snap. Seems like he is too green to play with the big boys.

14. I am a native of San Diego, born and raised
And a lifelong fan. I have a Dan Fouts jersey which I got back in the day, a "Charger Power" tshirt (A real relic of the 70's), and I still wear my 1994 AFC Championship shirt.

I am not a fair weather fan, despite your delusional swipe to the contrary. Must be a midwestern schools problem. Chicago is renowned for the worst of the worst.

They won the 1963 AFL Championship, which back then was the farthest either league could go before the Super Bowl. So yes, they do have a league championship under their belt.

22. So many options, so little time.

I could:

A) Take the high road, and admit that I didn't know that you were born in SD. I could admit that that I made a wrong assumption, and still point out that you did the same: I grew up in Ohio, had a good education, and went to college/grad school for free based upon my academic achievements. Yes sir, we were both incorrect about each others' origins, and I'm big enough to admit that I was mistaken.

B) Be conciliatory: As in "Hey. I was just pushing your buttons about the Chargers". In fact, I consider Fouts to be one of the best QBs to ever play the game. If he had had a decent supporting staff, he'd be considered to be one of the Great Ones.

C) Take the low road: I realize that you made a little bitchy personal attack in your post, although it didn't include the word "pee-hole" or allude to anal sex, as do your usual responses (mostly posted on other boards). Kudos to you for toning it down. You're my new hero!

D) Ask my wife to alert on your post. That's just sad and weird.

So, Skippy....How do you want to approach this? I'm open for anything.
