Okay - who here watches "What Not to Wear"?
I've been taking notes and went on a bit of a clothes shopping spree today.

1. I sometimes do
But I haven't watched in a while. I used to watch it all the time.

7. Like watching a trainwreck, eh? Can't turn away but can't bear not to
see the outrageousness? Must admit to picking up a few tips now when I'm shopping.
:hi:

4. Sometimes but it is hideous
Sure the people need help to make a change but the clothes they end up with are just as horrible.
They really push the sparkly stuff - rhinestones and glitter - and those idiot pointy high heels. The taste of the two hosts is just TACKY!

The makeup and hair people do OK though.

5. I used to avoid pointy toed high heels, but
I've discovered that they are quite comfortable, as long as I'm "gellin'". My problem was with the metatarsal area of my shoes, which can also bother me when I'm wearing flats. Got some gel insoles for that part of my foot, and wham! Works just fine!

6. LOVE that show.
clinton and stacey do a terrific job with the guests -- and some of the transformations are really remarkable.

9. BBCAMERICA runs the British original.
Trini & Susannah are truly bitchy--in a nice way. They really do help ladies (& a few men) find more flattering styles, rather than make them fit into fashionable molds.

The US show is pretty good, too. Many of the made-over already know they need help. But the candid films & 360 degree mirrors convince the rest.
