So, the Hooters up the street caused a shit flood in my area.

Earlier, the water was squirting up out of the sewer lines all over our condo complex. According to my neighbor, who spoke with the City worker, Hooters dumped grease in the drain pipes, causing it to clog up. They should have to foot the bill for the City. How stupid can you get?

There is a truck in our lot disinfecting now. Apparently, our whole complex, a few businesses, and other apartment complexes were affected.

That is just sick. I am SOOOOO glad I am on a septic tank, nobody is dumping grease in it causing strangers poo to run out in my yard.
Do you think it was grease poured in or grease from their customers bathroom use? Surely people don't absorb all the grease in a hooters "meal", some has to pass through.

they just poured it in a drain. Below Hooters, it is supposedly a 24 inch pipe, but it goes to 9 inches below the condos and apartments. The grease is just like cholesterol in our bloodstreams, though. It doesn't just flow through, it stays caught.

Luckily, it just appeared to be liquid squirting from the ground, not solid pooey. It smelled pretty icky, though. But, they are taking care of it.

4. Eh, shit happens.

No use getting all worked up over it, so I didn't. I think it is kind of funny. I imagine it will be a rather large bill for cleanup, though.
