Today has just been one of those days.

The student aid check came, but not until yesterday afternoon when there was NO chance of cashing it before classes start tomorrow. Everybody here has been grouchy. The pot roast that I set down yesterday morning was STILL frozen at 6:00 pm this evening, and is STILL roasting. It'll probably be leathery and tough by the time it's done. The kidlet has been grouchy and uncooperative all day. The house needs cleaning, and I have NO energy for doing it. My back hurts, my head hurts, and the ibuprofen I took is doing nothing for it. Blockbuster had been picked completely clean of anything interesting to watch, because the %^@$#%& students are back in town. The traffic was horrific and the noisy neighbors are back (see comment about %^@$#%& students). I am completely out of any alcoholic beverages that might otherwise help soothe my irritation with the Universe at large, and of course you can't buy anything on a Sunday night in West Virginia, so my desperate wish for a rum-and-Coke while taking a hot bubble bath is out of the question.

And tomorrow is Monday. *sigh*

Really, life should come with warning labels about days like this.
