So: I uninstalled IE7 from my laptop; and now I can't connect to the internet.

Thank DOG I didn't install it to the desktop; from which I'm currently typing to you.
Please; no scolding about Firefox and etc. I just want to fix my connectivity problem; thenI'll consider other options.
And of course; when I called Microsoft (because Time Warner had done everything they could to help me-really! From Canada; no less!) they wanted to charge me for help because I am NOW calling about IE6!!! (when it reverted back to IE6; it still won't connect.Poor husband wrestled with it for 3 hours before giving up).
Damn damn damn.:grr:

I had a similar problem and my friend the computer geek straightened it out rapidly. Sooo, when you do find somebody with the answer, at least it won't be difficult or complicated to implement.

wasn't really expecting anyone to actually have an answer; just wanted to bitch.
On the phone to Microsoft right now........hopefully we'll have this straightened out soon.
I have been doing some surfing to see how widespread the problem is; and it's pretty bad.
I hope I can post the solution after this for whoever else has the problem!
