I'm getting old. Ask me anything!
Actually, I won't be able to answer until later tonight.

In a few weeks, I will turn 37 and one half, which means I am precisely 3/4 of the way through my 30's. For some reason, that feels significant to me, like I'm almost done with my 30's and 4-0 is right around the corner.

And I'm starting to feel it. This weekend, I hurt my back moving a piece of furniture. "Hurt my back"? I've literally never really done that before. That's the kind of thing that happens to old people. Like me.

bleah! Woe is me.

1. My dear Cheney Killed Bambi.........
Hm....you should come have a look at my thread, sweetie.......

Not to diminish your concerns, though......

But 40 is not old.......

It is a subjective thing, I believe........

I remember turning 50.......and feeling as though I'd climbed Mt. Everest without oxygen....

Now I'm 63, and I no longer care about it......... I just want to live!

You have many, many good years ahead of you....Enjoy them, and live them to the fullest!

5. Sweetheart, age is relative - I remember being totally depressed
the year I turned 30--I thought my life was over with.

This year I turn 50, and I'm even more depressed.

My advice is to, right now, grab life by the horns and enjoy it. Time will pass faster than you realize, and before you know it, you'll be 50, too, and you'll have missed out on a lot of things that you'll never have the chance to experience again.

Don't let it happen to you.
