1. Living in Nebraska I can honestly say that I am among a minority

who doesn't really give a damn. That's all the University of Nebraska cares about, the football program. The justification is that it generates "big money" for the school. The problem with that is that I truly believe that is what is wrong with UNL, UNO, UNK. They've forgotten that they are a SCHOOL.

That being said, they'd better find someone who can turn this team around because that's the prime concern in this state right now. Finding someone who can put the Cornhuskers back on top. Every team goes through bad spells. I can remember the days when UCLA, Ohio State, Notre Dame, etc., were on top of the heap. Then the went through some rough spells (some still are). It's just that no one here understands that you can't have a national championship team every single year. But you also have to consider that the Cornhuskers are the biggest asset this state has. Other than "Carhenge", I mean.
