so we're pulling for Florida. But I'm starting to wonder who the real underdog is, watching this game.

There were folks at the restaurant where we ate dinner a bit earlier (and watched the first part of the game) that were already grumbling about the BCS again, and how this game should have been Florida and USC, not Florida and OSU.

the rule is that our conference is always over-rated and can almost never win a bowl game against either the SEC or the PAC-10. Witness the way Michigan and OSU were not just beaten, but crushed! Only Wisconsin is the exception to that rule, winning most of their bowl games.

Big 12, formerly big 8, has the same problem. Often going into the Orange Bowl as the number one ranked team, only to lose big. The midwest just cannot compete with either coast or the south. x(
