Many things that a lot of people call sports meet 1 and 2 but not 3. Cheerleading, golf, gymnastics, bowling. I would never deny the athleticism and dedication needed to be good in cheerleading. Just doesn't feel like a sport to me.

People have a lot of fun cheerleading, and it's good exercise. Being a part of it can help raise self esteem...

I had fun watching the cheerleaders and the dance group in school, and not just because I like the ladies, lol. I know cheerleaders are stereotyped as being the mean girls in school but that's not always true- when I was in school, it wasn't the cheerleaders who terrorized me, it was other girls. A friend of mine in jr. high who had really low self esteem became a cheerleader- she didn't think she would even make it for lots of reasons, mainly she didn't think she was skinny or pretty enough. But she was good at it, so she wasn't rejected like she thought she would be. And it did a lot for her, she felt really good about herself afterwards.

And outside of school, when it comes to the NFL and whatnot, I dunno. They look like they are having a great time out there and people like to watch them, I see nothing wrong with that.
