I tried to write a poem today

I was just going through a ms. of some of my ancient attempts at poetry, and I came across this one. Which just goes to show you, I hope, that at one time I did indeed have a sensahuma.

THE FAILURE

I tried to write
a poem today-
An Epic from
my life to say.
I didn't do
too good at it-
I drank some rum
and lost my wit.
(It's hard enough
the best of times
to find the good,
the perfect rhymes!)
Oh well, I guess
I'll try again
tomorrow, but
this time with gin....

2. I believe I actually was drunk when I wrote that

My friends used to say I was funnier when I was drunk. Perhaps I was- I don't plan to repeat the experience to find out. :rofl:
