Two people that don't deserve the time of day taking up mine whenever I try to catch up on real news. They should both just go the hell away.

Trump is an arrogant gas bag who's criticism of Rosie is childish, sexist and just plain stupid.

11. It's such a publicity stunt by both sides.
Babwa hired Rosie because she's desperate for a daytime Emmy, which Rosie has won before. I hate to tell her, but Ellen Degeneres will continue to whoop her ass. I'm just waiting for the announcement that Geraldo will be joining "The View" or "The Apprentice".

19. Disagree with both.
Both entertainers should have said no-comment and put their egos on hold from the beginning and not wasted news space on their trivia and egos. There are far more important things to discuss in the media.

I don't care for either one. Trump is obviously a fool with a big ego that has overplayed his hand. Rosey is too loud mouthed for my taste and too confrontational. We need more diplomatic people like Bill Clinton (and others) that can disagree without being disagreeable.

15. I saw Rosie & Kelli marry in SF's City Hall
Rosie was the ONLY celebrity-of-note that stood up and spoke out in support of Gavin Newsom's brave act of civil disobedience, when even Melissa and Ellen were MIA and acharacteristically silent. My partner and I were married on the same marble steps as were Rosie and Kelli and we thank both of them for their guts, as their involvement lent tremendous visibility to our struggle for marriage equality.

Rosie may grate on some people's nerves for her in-your-face honesty, but she is always the first to defend the rights and protections due others less fortunate than herself. I've never known her to stand anywhere but on the side humanity and righteousness. I sure can't say the same for "The Donald" and I doubt I ever will.

21. So were we. A few days later.
Flew all the way from NYC. We had planned the trip before they started making couples place "reservations". We almost didn't get married, but a couple was unable to make it so we got to take their spot. We cried like babies.

23. What an amazing experience it was...to be a part of history
Edited on Tue Jan-09-07 08:47 PM by keepCAblue
We stood for hours in line and met some incredible couples...couples who'd been together 20+ years...couples who, like you and yours, had flown in from distant parts of the globe. One couple, two women, wore military fatigues. They were on leave--from Iraq--and had flown into San Fran for a rushed, miraculous chance to marry before having to ship back to Iraq.

We're patiently awaiting the CA Supreme Court's decision, which is said will not come for another year or so. All I can say is it had better be the *right* decision, and by 'right' I mean, 'morally correct'...

A belated "Congrats" to you and yours for your historic marriage.

P.S., we cried, too. As did everyone else who partook that day.

25. Thank You.
And right back at you and yours.

We ended up getting married the day they put a stop to the marriages. Didn't find out until we landed in NYC later that day. I could go on for days how crazy and amazing that day was and what happened leading up to it.

But while we were waiting for our plane in NYC to fly to San Francisco, we chalked it up to being a good gay sign that Joan Rivers walked right by us in the airport.

24. I am convinced that this is strictly a PR campaign
Trump's show ratings are in the dumper, and this is the sort of thing that will get him at least temporary higher ratings. I imagine a scenario where Rosie and Trump are siting down for drinks this evening and laughing their asses off about this.

Sorry, I've been addicted to the real Reality TeeVee, Cspan, lately, so haven't been paying attention to the networks, except for Keith :D

I've been sick of Trump since he ditched his first wife...for a bimbo..then that one...for another bimbo..etc, etc. Rosie's right ya'know.

Rosie can be forgiven many sins, but not "Riding the bus with my sister".

And Trump, for all his faults, does have excellent taste in the arts.

30. Why should I care?
Bush thinks he is Oliver Cromwell; the whole Arctic is melting; Kansas City is about to get a ton of ice and snow; New Orleans is in ruins, and you you think I care about Rosie and Donald and some silly feud. I like the line in the new James Bond film when James is asked if he wants his martini shaken or stirred. His reply: "Do I look like I care?"! Get a life!

Edited on Tue Jan-09-07 09:39 PM by JVS
The answer to Rosie's "Who is he to give absolution to Miss USA?" Should have been a quick "The head of the Miss USA operation, you fuckwit"

Besides, if I side with Rosie, Donald's hairpiece might attack me.
