9. Buzzflash does not buy them in bulk and give them away free

Newsmax might buy x amount of Coulter books that either sit in a storeroom as they are given away for sign-ups, contests, etc.

They are probably buying the books in bulk per month, whether they get re-circulated or not.

Buzzflash is just saving you a trip to Amazon or B&N's website, not pushing "double sales" figures for Annie's screed.

Kinda like what the Scientologists did to keep "Dianetics" on the bestseller lists.

10. You need to check the NYTimes bestseller list

To be honest, both sites could be doing the same thing. But there is no bulk purchase sales on Hillary books or any other book that isn't right-wing leaning. It makes you wonder what these right-wing books sales would really be if Scaife wasn't filling warehouses with the books

by wealthy wingnuts to purchase HUGE quantities of any shrill right-wing screed in a deliberate attempt to get, and keep, the book on the bestseller lists. This has been their strategy ever since Anal-cyst-boy's first pack o' lies was published, and it works. Most people think the books are legitimately on the bestseller lists, not realizing that individual purchases make up only a tiny percentage of the total number of the 'books' sold.

Buzzflash, DU, and similar sites may have ads for books, but certainly don't purchase bulk quantities of the books to force them onto bestseller lists. Liberal books that hit the bestseller lists do it on individual purchases.
